This is a solea inspired by Sergio Aranda, one of Spain’s finest young dancers, who was a guest performer with Puente Flamenco. It contains some traditional material, including falseta material from Paco Peña, as well as my own new material, and echoes of things that Sergio played on the guitar(!). It needs polishing, especially in the rasgueados, and I will probably add another falseta or two. I will also use it to accompany Marisa Guzman por baile. Sergio’s artistry was so inspiring that it will be a wellspring for years to come. In short, he blew our minds! I hope you enjoy it.
