What would you think if I told you that I knew of a great place to get high quality vitamins and other health products at a reasonable price? I’ll bet that would get your attention in today’s expensive, challenging, and confusing healthcare environment. I’ve been a member of the Life Extension Foundation for years now, and I’ll have to say that this has been one of the best values I’ve run into in a long time.
The main reason I joined was for the substantial discount on vitamins. That alone would have been worth the $75/year membership. In fact, both times I renewed I actually got immediate product discounts that were worth more than the membership fee – very impressive! I would have taken the vitamins anyway, and this way I’m not only saving money, but getting excellent quality. But you also get a huge reference book on disease prevention and treatment, which I found very useful on several occasions.
When I first heard the name Life Extension Foundation, I envisioned people somewhat on the fringe, maybe looking for the elixir of life. But when you read their monthly magazine, it’s full of carefully-sourced medical research, essentially at the professional journal level. Their advisory board includes many eminent physicians, and it shows.
They have recently been jumping through multiple legal hurdles to open their own pharmacy, so that they can offer reasonably-priced prescription drugs.
That’s a heck of a lot to get for $75/year, if you ask me! On a lighter note, when I buy vitamins on their website, they get to me so fast that I wonder if they have somehow altered the space-time continuum. It’s almost as if they have people standing in a warehouse office, drinking multiple pots of coffee, staring at a screen, almost shaking with excitement, waiting for the next order to come in so they can keep competing for the land-speed record!
